To be rated as one of the best function bands in the UK takes a complex mix of talent, musicianship, teamwork, professionalism and performance, whilst always being mindful of what it is that clients and the audience want.
The Jjarrs have been carefully moulded and nurtured on this basis to ensure that everything we do is first class and above expectation.

Professional bands tend to be created from independant musicians whose only connection to each other is the band itself. But this creates a rather cold and sterile feel to their performance. We on the other hand have evolved from a group of mates who simply wanted to make amazing sounding music. Not only a terrific band on stage, we are great friends off it too and we believe this difference shows when we perform.
Having performed at literally hundreds of events, at venues both large and small, we have learnt a thing or two about the sort of music to play, how we play it and how to make any evening go off with a bang. Whilst we will literally go wherever our bookings take us we have detailed certain key aspects we believe set us apart from other bands.

Corporate events can call for a slightly different approach to that of a wedding or private party and they can be quite diverse in nature. We have performed for the likes of Marks & Spencer, The Jockey Club, Mecca, Harley Davison and Toymaster to name but a few so we are very familier with the sorts of demands these events require.
Professionalism is always key before, during and after performances and we always work with organisers and venues to ensure all aspects of what we do fit perfectly according to plans and schedules so that your event runs smoothly.
We will happily tailor our sets to suit each event, follow any dress code requirements, assist with any audio needs and if necessary provide MC services or techical support for speeches, presentations and announcements as well as provide any background music requirements during the event.
Having perfomed at venues such as Alexandra Palace, The Royal Pump Rooms, The Harrogate Exhibition Centre, Newmarket Race Course and even in a fully operational paper mill, we are fully aware of our obligations in relation to Health and Safety, and we are fully insured, risk assessed and PAT tested for added peace of mind. Music for Large Events/Festivals
​
Large sound stages or outdoor events are very familiar teritory to us, as are smaller venues and tight spaces. We don't compromise our performance even if the event is a less formal gathering or if a location is a bit unusual. We can tailor our sets, work within a specific theme or adapt as necessary to absorb ourselves into the spirit of event and provide the ideal entertainment demanded.
Big or small, outdoor or indoor, the size of any venue is no problem. We carry a number of options to ensure we can provide a suitable sound system and stage set up for most circumstances and should our own sound system and equipment prove not to be substantial enough we have access to professional sounds engineers who can provide all the addtional support we may need.
We are of course more than happy to work with third party production companies, sound engineers other bands and even DJ's at big events and we will happily liaise directly with them where necessary to ensure nothing is overlooked and the event runs smoothly.

Unlike other professional bands we don't operate a revolving door policy of bringing in replacements or additional 'guest' musicians to bulk up the size of the band so fees can be increased. What you see is what you get and we firmly believe that you get a far better performance from an established line up of musicians.
